Kenya Adams-Martin

Kenya Adams-Martin is a wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dedicated community member in the Cedar Hill neighborhood of New Haven. She is a retired employee of the State of Connecticut Department of Developmental Disabilities where she worked for over 35 years. She was raised in New Haven, attended schools in New Haven and graduated from James Hillhouse High School in 1984. Kenya attended Gateway Community College and for two years attended SCSU. She’s passionate about people, community and our outdoor surroundings.
Through her research, Kenya learned that her home was built in 1880 by the Casey family and that it was moved on logs to its present location. Her family is the second family to occupy the home — 23 years and counting.
