Meenakshi Alreja

Meenakshi Alreja, PhD, was born and educated in New Delhi, India. Meenakshi is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the Yale University School of Medicine and a fellow of Silliman College at Yale University.

A neuroscientist and educator by training, Meenakshi’s research focused on brain circuits involved in learning and memory and on brain pathways that link reproduction and energy metabolism. She enjoys teaching, advising students and working on all matters related to education.

Meenakshi has previously served as a board member for the Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven. She is eager to learn more about New Haven, its architecture, historic communities and contribute to their preservation.
