Abigail (Abby) Roth

Assistant Secretary

Abby spent over 18 years in a variety of roles at Yale, including serving as Director of Communications for Medical Education at Yale School of Medicine, Special Assistant to the Dean at Yale School of Management, and Director of Alumni Affairs at Yale Law School. Before returning to Yale, where Abby attended college and law school, she spent two years clerking for judges and eleven years as a lawyer for the federal government, predominantly focused on firearms and explosives law and policy.

Abby is active with traffic safety and voting rights advocacy. She previously served as an alder in New Haven, representing Ward 7, for six years. She loves learning about history and architecture, and believes preserving local history strengthens community and enriches cities.
