AIA Connecticut is pleased to offer an inspiring series on historic preservation in Connecticut in collaboration with the New Canaan Museum and Historical Society! The Trust’s Director of Preservation Services, Elizabeth Holt, will complete the three-part lecture series on historic homes.

In this lecture, both architects and homeowners will learn to identify important elements of historic homes and the proper treatment of those elements according to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for preservation, rehabilitation, restoration, and reconstruction.

The series kicks off on November 7 with Early homes of Connecticut, presented by Jim DeStefano, architect and engineer. On November 14, Chris Wigren, Deputy Director of the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation, will present Stories of Connecticut Historic Architecture.
